As I sit here waiting for my husband to get home from work, I mildly assess my life and the direction that it is going. I am listening to some of my favorite tunes, and enjoying the warmth and scent of the wood stove wafting up from the grate beside me in the floor. My children are snuggled warmly in their beds and my faithful dog is curled up at my feet. Quite honestly my life is lacking in major goals, simply because I have reached them all. I am living my dreams, I suppose they were simple to begin with, but for so many they are ultimately unattainable. I am grateful for the life I am living with my loving husband, my healthy, vibrant, kind-hearted, intelligent children growing together in our cozy home nestled securely on several rural acres. My household is peaceful and overflowing with good things. What more should I want? Maybe for a few more spinach leaves in the hot box to remind me that spring is coming, slowly but surely.....
